Getting the work done This is my third year as a teacher's aide and I ask myself the same question. You have so much to do with so little time. I believe that as a teacher you never stop. You are constantly on the go. The special ed teacher I work with also has a second job as a counselor for adults and adolecents. I wonder how she has time to get all her work completed.

Full Inclusion and Holiday Events Back in the day I encountered a situation where I had to monitor a group of children who do not participate or celebrate in any holiday events. My question is, as a teacher what do you do in order to involve all your students without offending anyone?

Sign Language Games I work with a student who has great skills, but has extreme difficulty verbalizing. I thought Sign Language would be a great topic to research. Here is a great link to Sign Language Games that teaches you the alphabet, math, and other fun stuff for students of all ages.

Video on Suicide Ideation When watching this video all I could think about were the stories I heard of when I was in high school about kids with such hate and depression that they would take their own lives. I do not know anyone who has committed suicide. I do know that poetry is a great way to display your thoughts. I used to write poetry and found it as an escape when feeling sad or upset. I wish that those who feel that life is not worth living would somehow realize that life is worth living. It's so important to really talk to your students or children about their day at school and read any cues that may indicate there's a problem that need special attention. Do not ignore any signs. It's better to act on your gut feelings than to do nothing!!
